Thank you to the Rise presenters Lynn and Sandra at Ujima Radio 98.0 FM for inviting me to the show to talk about my up-and-coming book launch.

Ujima is a local Bristol Community radio station, that supplies you with up-to-date news, discussion and music. The presenters also celebrate African and Caribbean cultures through informative talks.

I am immensely proud to be part of making history as the first Author in my family. I was able to share the joy of my achievement with the listeners and talk about my writing journey. I am also looking forward to the celebrations of “Felix at 50” in 2022 when the adventure playground marks its 50th year of opening.

Press Release Felix Road Adventure Playground

Eastside Community Trust manages Felix Road Adventure Playground and we are looking forward to celebrating Felix Road’s 50th birthday in 2022. This amazing adventure playground has been such a rich part of the community of Easton for so many generations of children and adults who have played there. We are also eagerly anticipating the release of Beverley Douglas’s book ‘Cutie’ as it will paint a picture of the early days of the playground, how it was started and why it is as important now as it was back in 1972.

Beverley Douglas has very generously offered to donate a percentage of sales from the book to Felix Road adventure playground.
